"TM" is the annual professional festival-fair bringing up the question of the Bridge between Tradition and Contemporaneity in performing arts. It is uniting performers from all over the world interested in the research of theatre methods between tradition and contemporaneity. PROGRAMME: workshops, work demonstrations, lectures and performances by performers and theatre teachers from Singapore, Japan, Italy, Russia, USA, Germany.
- "Intrigues In The Qing Imperial Court" - Chinese Opera performance
by Chinese Theatre Circle (Singapore).
- "The Fascinating World of Chinese Opera" - Workshop by Joanna Wong, the Artistic Director
of Chinese Theatre Circle (Singapore).
- "Swinging Horizon" - Solo Performance by Ritsuko Tsumaki - dancer, choreographer (Japan).
- "Commedia Dell'Arte - A Tradition of Playing Now" - Workshop and performance fragment by Fabrizio Paladin - actor, director, playwright, musician, teacher (Italy).
- "Staging the Dream: Ella Jaroszewicz and the Studio Magenia" - Presentation by Michael Pape - actor, director, playwright, theatre scholar (USA).
- "Thrown" Project - Workshop and performance presentation by Nightmare Before Valentine
(Andriana Seecker, Birgitt Bodingbauer, Lydia Ziemke - Germany).
- "Performers Physicality" - Workshop by Sergei Ostrenko - theatre director, teacher (Russia).
- "Exploring Pause Behavior" - Workshop by Mandy Fox - playwright, director, actor, voice specialist, educator (USA).
PARTICIPANTS: actors, directors, dancers, choreographers, teachers, playwrights, stage designers, script writers, theatre critics, journalists, cultural managers. REGISTRATION:
Candidates should send a CV and a brief letter of motivation to festival@iugte.com stating the title, dates and location of the event.
Participation fee:
410 EUR - if payment is made before March 20th
(500 EUR if payment is made before April 20th).
The fee covers attendance of all events of the festival programme, accommodation (six nights), three meals per day - breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea/coffee breaks.
